Water Catchment for Chickens

The layer hens now have a self contained water catchment system.

Even though they are only a hundred feet from our doorstep this is a vast improvement.

We are in the process of building multiple large native grass pastures off the main coop. We are planning to experiment on irrigating the hens pastures and letting them roam larger areas. Winter rye for colder times and oats, buckwheat, wheat for summer, spring. Tunnels may be involved. Plans evolving as this is typed. More soon,,,
